Cheetah Girl has been major M.I.A. lately... whoops. Full-nerd-mode has officially set in. Yep, finals are right around the corner. Organic Chemistry II has done a wonderful job of kicking my puny little butt, and Physiology is not far behind it. All that said, I'm not going to get to run the 1/2 marathon in Nashville due to my nonexistant training. :( I will however run in a 10K at the end of the month. :)
There's a saying about college:
"Enough sleep. A social life. Good grades.
You can only pick two. Welcome to college."
Try adding 'Go to gym and run 30-40 miles a week' to that list. You can still only pick two. Thank you for the pity party.
Running has unfortunately not been at the top of the priority list. After my 1/2 marathon, I stopped running double digit milers on the weekends.. probably because the race motivation was gone. I've been running less and less due to the piling on of tests and ridiculous-ness from professors. I'm running about 15-20 a week now. Surprisingly I can still fit into all my jeans, so this is good. This is also most likely due to the fact that my food supply has almost disappeared. Ahh the poor college kid. ;)
Needless to say, summer hurry up and get here! I can't wait to be school free - I'll be working full time but at least I'll be on a more predictable schedule so that I have time to get my run in. My non-running friends think I'm mental when I tell them that my legs are just itching to run... I was actually at Walmart with a friend walking down the aisle when the overwhelming feeling came over me. I just wanted to start running right there. It was definately weird but cool at the same time. My friend thinks I'm on crack. Maybe I am. HA!

Hi there!
I came across your blog and saw that you’re passionate about running and staying fit. I’m not sure if you’ve ever tried Greek yogurt, but it's strained which leaves it with twice the protein and half the sugar of regular yogurt. Stonyfield Farm makes Oikos Organic Greek yogurt which has a whopping 15 grams of protein per 5.3 oz. serving, which is a great snack to fuel your training schedule. Our Oikos Greek yogurt is also unique because it’s the only organic Greek yogurt on the market today -it's made from organic milk produced without the use of toxic persistent pesticides, chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, or artificial growth hormones (rBST). We feel that organic is not only better for you, but better for the planet as well.
I’d love to send you some free coupons to give Oikos a try and maybe let your readers know what you think of it. If you're interested just shoot me an email at kdrociak@stonyfield farm and let me know where to send them.
Take care,
Kristina

I know that saying! I went to college on an athletic ride, so I only got to pick one of the three. I didn't sleep much and didn't get to my first college party until AFTER I graduated.
But summer is almost here. :-)
